Wow! On the 26th of April we entertained 110 people to a cream tea to celebrate her Majesty’s 90th year! We were overwhelmed by the number of visitors, some of whom had traveled quite a distance to be there.
Garry had created a wonderful montage of film and a terrific medley of music through the decades and we had a LOT of memorabilia available for perusal.
Slippers were exchanged with enthusiasm and new ferrules fitted to replace worn ones, saving slips, trips and broken hips. We even had a quiz!
Our thanks to Age UK Suffolk, Healthwatch Suffolk and Alzheimer’s Society for their kindness in pitching in and helping our volunteers get everyone served.
A great afternoon was had by all!
