“Music for a Suffolk Summer Evening” – will take place at Euston in Suffolk on Sunday afternoon 7th July.

The Kelvedon Singers will be performing in aid of The Rural Coffee Caravan in Suffolk, and invite you to spend the afternoon with them.

From 3pm, afternoon tea will be served in The Old Kitchen at Euston Hall, home of the Duke and Duchess of Grafton, with sandwiches and scrummy cakes galore.

The Parkland at Euston, laid out by King Charles II’s courtier and celebrated landscape designer John Evelyn, will be open to explore.

The concert will take place at 5.30 pm in the Church of St. Genevieve – a charming, Christopher Wren-styled parish church, which was built in the 17th Century, on the site of an earlier medieval church beside Euston Hall.

You won’t be surprised, therefore, to know that the music will have references to Suffolk, flowers, trees, countryside and tea! They will sing madrigals from the 16th century, works from Suffolk composers, Victorian Ballads, a bit of Swing, some jazz and will surprise you with music that has once again been in the public eye through a recent film!

Bubbly and nibbles will be served in the interval from one of our Rural Coffee Caravans.

So treat yourself to an afternoon of delights and come to Euston Hall on Sunday 7th July 2019. We promise you won’t be disappointed.
