On 21st March we held our first Golden Age Fair of the year at Lavenham Village Hall. Our thanks to Katy Macnamara of Suffolk County Council, and Ann’s daughter;  Babergh District Council, and the agencies who took part, including our brand new Suffolk Law Centre. Although based in Ipswich they are very keen to get out into rural areas and we are hoping to help them with that.

It was good to meet some of the residents of Lavenham who ventured out on a rare sunny day to visit! We received some fantastic feedback from our visitors, who were able to connect with agencies they may not have heard of but that exist to help you stay happy healthy and independent. We were also able to exchange slippers and ferrules – which all helps prevent slips trips and broken hips!

Funding permitting we will hold more of these this year and will post details as soon as we have them.
