Tonight’s performance  is The Madness Of King George III

Mark Gatiss plays King George in the multi-award-winning Nottingham Playhouse.production of Alan Bennetts’ The Madness of King George III.  Streaming for 7 days from 7pm on Thursday 11 June.

It’s 1786 and King George III is the most powerful man in the world. But his behaviour is becoming increasingly erratic as he succumbs to fits of lunacy. With the King’s mind unravelling at a dramatic pace, ambitious politicians and the scheming Prince of Wales threaten to undermine the power of the Crown, and expose the fine line between a King and a man.

Mark Gatiss (SherlockWolf Hall, NT Live Coriolanus) in the title role, and Adrian Scarborough (Gavin and StaceyUpstairs DownstairsAfter the Dance).

Every Thursday at 7pm National Theatre At Home will stream a full length, much loved National Theatre live production free for seven days via their Youtube channel.
