What a day!
Firstly Mark Murphy asked me on his breakfast show to talk about the MeetUpMondays launches today. Then the EADT published not only a great article but also a lovely editorial.
Megan headed off early to the Chilli Farm launch, I went to Farmers Kitchen, Sally went to The George in Hadleigh whilst local council Community Capacity Officers and even the Police, filled in the gaps. Coffee Caravan founder Sally Fogden then went to The Bear in Beyton in the afternoon. We were busy!!
And what a brilliant launch day it turned out to be. Admittedly some venues quieter than others but we knew that was likely. ‘If you build it they will come’ is the mantra and actually every single #MeetUpMonday saw visitors, and those visitors loved the whole idea!
The feedback is terrific. We even had an actual thank you note! Lots of chat, lots of networking, lots of smiling, lots of tea (and coffee) toast or biscuits. Most importantly lots of looking forward to the next one.
So to all our hosts, thank you! You are Good Humans, kind and generous good sports.
Thanks again to BBC Suffolk and the incomparable Mark Murphy and our continuing gratitude to the EADT. You are all such a huge help in keeping the momentum going.
