Royal Hospital School ‘Cards & Letters’ project

Rural Coffee Caravan is excited to be working in partnership with students from the Royal Hospital School this Autumn 2020!

When it comes to having access to social connections, we want to make sure no one is left behind.

Our partnership project this autumn will involve engaging the help of a group of students at Royal Hospital School to send handmade invitations to people throughout Suffolk who might prefer a more traditional penpal/letter writing exchange to an email, video chat or Facebook message. The digital modes of connection we have at our fingertips have been a blessing for so many of us, throughout the pandemic and during the challenging and isolating times this year has presented us with. But not all of us have the means to access them.

The students aim to spread a little kindness and cheer to Suffolk residents this winter, in the form of cards & letters, in the hope that receiving regular, uplifting post can further ease the loneliness and isolation which so many rural folk experience.

If you know someone who might like to receive a card and/or take part in a letter writing exchange with students from the Royal Hospital School, then click the ‘Tell Me More’ button to register your interest.

We’ll be updating this page with more details about the project soon, so do keep checking back!
