Royal Hospital School ‘Cup of Correspondence’ project
Rural Coffee Caravan is excited to be working in partnership with students from the Royal Hospital School to deliver a new correspondence project!
When it comes to having access to social connections, we want to make sure no one is left behind.
Our partnership project engages the help of students attending the services programme at Royal Hospital School, who send handmade invitations to people throughout Suffolk who might prefer a more traditional pen-pal/letter writing exchange to an email, video chat or Facebook message. The digital modes of connection we have at our fingertips can be a blessing for many of us in challenging and isolating times. But not all of us have the means to access them, and some folk simply prefer to make connections the ‘old school’ way. Receiving a hand written kind thought through your letterbox can’t fail to bring a little joy.
The students are delivering kindness and cheer through the letterboxes of Suffolk residents, in the form of cards & letters, in the hope that receiving regular, uplifting post can further ease the loneliness and isolation which so many rural folk experience.
If you know someone who might like to receive a card and/or take part in a letter writing exchange with students from the Royal Hospital School, then click the ‘Get In Touch’ button to let us know, and we’ll make sure they get one!
